The one about another REDs game and what a dinner and movie @ the Hollums House and Hollums Home Theater would be like......

Well, this was from Friday morning when Tiffany made me put on a children's play hat and the Will Wonka Glasses from the latest movie..and took my picture...I tried to look as weird as Willy Wonka...but I don't think I pulled it off, heh......

Now this one was me buying a $1.50 beard @ Meijer today...and so I just had to add it to the fro wig I had...I think you can almost see an eye, heh..... This is probably what I would look like if I never cut my hair...Seriously...ask anyone who as seen me with my shirt off. It is crazy! heh heh....... This makes me look like Aaron Mansfield...before the trim and clean cut days...heh heh....or if anyone saw the Leno Show last night...Mel Gibson right now, heh...

well, yep you guessed it I went to the REDs game tonight....and yes...my record holds true....I personally have never seen the REDs loose if I am physically at the game!!! Someone needs to buy me season tickets...heh..... as you can see though...these are the free tickets that they give out to every student ad teacher in the schools around the area...so needless to say...the last time I went I was sitting 10 rows from the field...this time I was sitting 5 rows from the top nose bleed seats...heh...oh well, a fun time was still had by all!!! you can compare them all and see the HUGE difference...and the difference in price for me was the same, heh.......

my typical pan from left to right......

and the last one on my right...great view of the river though........

We went with the Choi's and as you can see we had a lot of fun!...Well John was working on it...Actually I think in this picture he was trying to make sure that he got us all in the picture...Thanks John!.......

Here is the money shot, heh....I am sure I will have my Mom asking for this one, heh......

one a little different with Tiffany going for the sweet look...instead of the fun look above, heh......

And lastly...Tiffany had the camera and I had no idea what she took pictures of...but here is Sylvia giving her notorious "Give me my poker chips back you just won!" face. Heh heh ha ha..... Well, Church tomorrow and the preschool silent auction tomorrow afternoon...and I donated a dinner and a movie for the auction...so we shall see how much some people will think that we are worth....wondering what we are going to do for the evening? The one about being real of fake.....

One of my pet peeves in the church today is how most Christians in church today are not being or even living real lives. All too often we think that we have to hide who we really are and in the process never find true change or transformation. This is always a challenge even in starting a new faith community to make sure the environment is safe and REAL so that the community with the presence of Christ can really transform everyone's hearts. It is a lack of authenticity that is turn lots of non-Christians away from any kind of community healthy or not...and so I found this website that challenges all of us to see if we can pick out the real photos or the computer graphics photos....when is the last time you really tried to see the real person in church or in your friends or even on the street? when is the last time you allowed someone to really see the real you?

REAL or FAKE contest......

(btw: I got 9 out of 10 the first time I did it...Tiffany got 6 out of 10, heh....Yall take care and God bless you all! KUTPs!!!!

Rita comes to Texas.....

Well, Tiffany talked to Noelle her sister today and Noelle is a baby/mother nurse in Austin, TX...and she said that it is crazy in Austin! Everyone is feeling the TX coast line and heading toward the middle of TX. Noelle said that her hospital had a mandatory nurse floor meeting and they were telling them that those people who were working Friday and Saturday (and those are the nights Noelle is working) to bring several changes of clothes because they have no idea what might happen...and even if the winds die down they might still be winds that no one in Austin, TX built hospital windows to withstand. Noelle told her sister that she went to Wal-Mart to go buy some batteries and water and food and such...and her little boy Caleb said, "Where'd it all go Momma where'd it al go?" Apparently, everyone even as far in as Austin are freaking out so bad that there was not any cans, Ramen Noodle Soup, or water...so Noelle and Craig have filled up their tub with clean drinking water and are filling up every bottle of Caleb's with water just in case...crazy!

Tiffany talked to her cousin (an d I have one there too) in Houston and she said that she tried to leave town but people's cars are running out of gas due to the long waits on the interstate (12 hrs...reported) and to top it all off there is no more gas at the stations because everyone has bought it al and the gas trucks can not get to the stations due to the cars backing up....it sounds crazy....Tiffany's cousin tried to leave but after 5 hours on the interstate at a stand still she needed the rest of the gas to drive back to her home.....and from what I have heard from my cousin...she has said the same thing...so Tiffany and I both have family there.

And my father said that when they left the hotel in Abilene that every room was check out in the holiday inn tonight!!! A Thursday in Abilene and all the hotels are full...now that is crazy!

And I am hearing the same stuff from Cody in San Antonio!

Well, I say all of this to say the obvious...please KUTPs!!!! The Promise land needs them right now...ha ha ha.... our thoughts and prayers are with you all....

The one about the trip to Mike Fink's, the Reds game and Halo the Spider chasing dog.....

So I was trying to watch a TV show in the HT and then I noticed that Halo my dog was going crazy...so I turned around to find this picture...so then I remembered my camera had a really bad quality video option so I tried to capture the act....

So here is Halo in the video act...man this cracked me up, heh (I really wish yall could have heard the noise with this one).... (This is an AVI video of Halo so when you click on it it should start a download for a file and it is around 1 Mb....so those of you who have dial-up it might be a little slow for ya!)

Well last night Tiffany and I were REALLY treated!!!! We ate at a restaurant called Mike Finks (really fancy steak and seafood place that had a raw bar! (No not sushi...but fresh raw crab legs, oysters, huge prawns (shrimp) and even clams)...it was extremely good food and I am sure the cost of the meal was up there too...and the place is right on the river on a river boat! It was a great time and you can even see where we wet next in the back ground....yep...the Red's Stadium...in this picture (from left to right) me, the ultra sweet couple that fed all of us and gave us the Reds tickets, sweet girl Tiffany, Karen cut off there on the right and Mark her husband who is the Sr. Pastor of the church that Tiffany serves @...Tons-o-fun!!!.....

here is my best of a close-up shot from the dining room table of the stadium.....

as we left the river boat establishment...I noticed some ducks that had a flamingo complex...heh heh.....

and now you get to see the seats we had at the game....it was unbelievable!!! I could not believe it...we were the 10th row up from the field!!!!!! Here is my typical pan shot to let you see the left of my field of vision....

view right in front of me....

and to the right of me....(those two river boat looking smoke stacks would have fireworks fly out in the Reds scored...(and they won BTW...it was my presence of course, heh)...and I remember one thing that was very funny....one of the players got a bad injury, but then got up and walked off the field and then they played a funny song called, "He's a Man....such a manily man" Ha Ha Ha...oh man it was very funny!)

and one blurry digital zoom of the batter...heh heh....we had a LOT of fun and we even had three foul balls that came VERY near us!!! It was GREAT!!! I loved every min. of it....Well, I love yall please take care and please KUTPs for Texas this time....these hurricanes are killing me! God bless you all and know that I love you ITMMHCWP!!!!

The one about me finding a few photos in my camera....

"Hi, I am John Choi and facial Tiffany sold me does not work!"

Here is a few fun photos I had laying around in my camera. Now, I know that when I say that I meet with John Choi for Bible study each week and that he is a Doctoral student @ HUC ...................with that description of John you might think of a very smart, brainy, Bible nerd, geek guy....well John is completely all of those descriptions...but very cool as well to top it all off...and I know that you might be asking yourself now.... why the stickers? Well, lets just say that my wife who loves stationary and stickers and who just happened to be putting together her youth newsletter was meeting with us during our Bible study...and things got a little bored I guess for John (dealing with us simple minded folks) and this is what happened....funny thing is all I could remember from this Friday's Bible study was the subject 1 Sam. 5:1- 7:1, and the great eggs I had for breakfast in the cafe we met at.....that is until I saw this photo again....heh.....

This is Doug (the Music director @ Tiffany's church and gives me a run for my money for humor and inappropriateness) and here he is with a bad balloon animal I helped make! At least he is happy to be holding it! This picture is from Tiffany's church's picnic yesterday! It was lots of fun...even though I had to run off to a meeting @ church...but the important thing about the whole evening is that the church got to find out that I was not an imaginary husband of Tiffany's imagination, and how bad Tiffany is at playing Cornhole......it was not even funny how bad she was........well, it was funny to me and a few hundred others.......but that is all, heh......

And of course I had to show yall a photo of the Will Solomon Concert we had Saturday night! It was a lot of fun even though the turn out was not what we desired (especially considering that there were thousands of people @ the Catholic Church's Octoberfest at the same time)...it was still fun and we loved the great music from Will and the amazing coffee and deserts from Sterling Manor Coffee Shop! If you are ever around the Richwood Exit...you need to stop by and get yourself some great coffee! Well, that is all for this post hope to have something interesting to say next time, heh.....yall take care and tank you for your prayers and God bless yall! KUTPs...oh and TEB updated.

The one about a few websites...and Tribe Extension Reminder...

Well, this week has been a good week so far..and I have been doing lots of work..and even more thinking..and in my line of work the thinking is work...and I guess I like it that way....I have always been a dreamer and I guess that will never stop (at least I hope it never goes away, heh heh)

Well I have been surfing the web a little here and there and every now and then I come across a website or two that might interest yall too...so here is a few that I have found...that I need to post here and then delete them from my favorites, heh:

Here is the yard sign I want to buy Tiffany some day...isn't it cute? It has Tiffany all over it, heh)

one and two websites that are great for finding bargains for tech stuff.

Ok, well looking through my list I have already posted a lot of them here anyway...so on to my next message:

Have any of you seen the trailer or movie preview of a movie called Serenity?

Well, this movie is based off of a short lived and much loved TV series called Firefly.....I saw the trailer and thought that it looked really cool, and then I decided to use our Netflix account and have Netflix ship me the DVD's of the TV series to check it out before the movie....and my response to the TV series.......................

Oh man oh man oh man....This TV series is some of the best TV I have seen since Star Trek The Next Generation!!!! It's writing is amazingly wonderful (from the guy who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel) and the special effects were very good for a TV show...and the actors could not have been better chosen....

The thought behind the series is this:

future sci-fi space ships/wild western theme (ie. the new frontier is not the west of the US, but the outer reaches of space). I started watching the series and they are so good that Tiffany could not stop watching them...I am probably going to some time buy the DVD TV series set...because it is that good and I would not mind watching them over and over!

The crew is made up of: the captain, the captain's old female war buddy who is married to the ships pilot, a shepherd (pastor, heh), a mercenary (only in it for the money), A companion (a respected a registered prostitute (yah I know it sounds bad...but if you think of a wild west show prostitutes were in ever bar it seems like), and a brother who is a fugitive Dr. who smuggled his genius sister away from the government who was doing mind experiments on.... and lastly a cutesy engineer that has a crush on the Dr......

to tell you the truth...it sounds a little like the rough crew that walked around with Jesus...you know that bunch was crazy to be around and I am sure the discussions were crazy too, heh....

Well, I wanted to make you all aware of the DVDs because the new movie called Serenity will be in Theaters on the 30th of this month..and I would encourage al of you to go check it out....I have also put a banner ad on the right side of the blog to encourage everyone to remember to go watch the movie....

well, yall take care ad have a good night...I and Tiffany are not feeling too well, so please KUTPs....oh and I wanted to remind all of you that I am also updating my other blog on a weekly basis...just in case you can't get enough of me here, heh....

Good night!

The one about poker, Jungle Jim's, and hurricane Relief

Well, Tiffany an d I hung out with John and Sylvia Choi on Sunday evening....They had us over to eat home made SUSHI!!! Dang it was so stinking good...and then we went to Jungle Jim's and then to a Starbucks where I proceeded to kick everyone's gluts in Poker, heh.... Here is John and me standing in front of a huge banana and strawberry...you should have seen the grocery store!....

Here is Tiffany and Sylvia in the parking lot of Jungle Jim's...I think they stole my camera when I was not looking...heh....and I did some touch-up work on this photo...can't tell can you? heh...your welcome Tiffany and Sylvia, heh.....(actually it is in the background, heh)

What you can not see is the water park behind this crew in front of Jungle Jim's that elephants are playing in and giraffe's are drinking from...they of course are not real...but how many grocery stores do you know of that have their own fish hatcheries for fresh fish...and 3 dedicated isles for hot sauces?...and to top it al over a water park for plastic animals!!!? heh....

Here is Tiffany with all of Sylvia's poker chips in Starbucks...and Sylvia?.....

Aaaahhhhhh poor Sylvia...she lost all of her poker chips to Tiffany (in that round)....and it did not take me long to clean house, heh.....lots of fun had by all...good times good times....oh and check out Sylvia's tee shirt, heh...(and another "eh" for good measure just for you Greg!).....

Today I spent the entire morning and lots of my afternoon taking and packing supplies for the hurricane Katrina survivors....We had two trucks carrying full (very full) beds of water..and the church van packed to the rim with health kits and blankets...then we drove to Louisville to take them all to the conference office where other churches have dropped off supplies to take to the gulf coast..... this is at the conference office showing everyone boxing up the supplies......

In this one you can see the small truck loaded on the left and next to it a semi-trailer that is about to be loaded. there was so much water and supplies...it was a great time had by all...and I would do it al over again 50 times in one week....the bishop his wife...and several United Methodists and Firefighters were there to help unload and box supplies and then place them all on trucks...Apparently they left out today @ noon...but we had to get back to work...so we came home....Well, that is all for today....it was a long day and I have another one tomorrow...with driving to Indianapolis to visit another church that is doing what we want to do...and then we drive back to go to our church's Carnival...where I will have pie thrown in my face....yeah I am sure it will be lots of fun...and very tiring...so...for me...for others...and for you...KUTPs!!!!!!

The one about our local baseball team!

Hey Everyone! Tiffany and I went with another couple to our local semi-pro baseball team the Florence Freedom! We won..and a fun time was had by all...and I got these tickets from a very generous church member that just gave them to us!!! Here are a few pictures of the great seats we had! (this one is our view the whole night...)

Oh yeah...Look and that pitching form..mid throw. (sorry the net makes the picture blurry, heh)....

I decided to take pictures to make a panoramic view...but I still need to buy the software that will allow me to do such a thing...so until them you will get them all individually...heh.....so this one is far left of our seats the the rest will be spanning to our right.....

(you can really tell from this view...that the pitching got much better after the sun was out of their eyes, heh)....

Well we all have a fun time an d hope that all of you can go out and support your local pro or semi-pro teams as well, the family atmosphere is amazing..and the seats were wonderful! Go have some fun...and in the mean time we are al in need in this country and in this world of us all remembering to KUTPs!!!! God bless yall! Posted by Picasa
