The one about two cool things I read about....

The first one is a really neat program for your computer.....

I don't know about yall...but I love Windows PCs...Apple Computers are great and if I did Graphics anything...then I would jump onboard immediately...but I just know and feel more comfortable with the Windows PC stuff....but I have to admit......

I am really jealous of the Apple design and extremely cool interface of their operating system! I love it so much that I am really praying that Microsoft with it's new operating system (used to be called Long Horn that is now called Vista) will actually take some notes from Apple and allow for some really cool interfacing and design for their operating system...but for those of you who really take pride and care what your desktop looks like...then I have a program that allows you too (just like all the Apple people) to have Widgets!!!! Now if you do not know what Widgets are then all you have to do is find a Apple Mac owner and I am sure they would love to tell you...but now the Apple Widgets can be Windows users too!!!! So if any of you care to even know what I am talking about then I encourage you to check out this free program called:

Konfabulator!

May your Widgets never fail...and always make your desktop look really cool! (oh...and while your at it...just goes ahead and hide your desktop icons...they are so ugly anyway, heh....(well everyone except Kurt in Info Tech...man his screen looked so clean all the time!)

=====================

the only other thing I wanted t share with you is the VERY scary sounds that are coming from Saturn!!! I DLed (Downloaded) the sounds from the NASA website and man talk about scary! It is very cool..so if yall want a little Halloween early then go ahead and head on over to the NASA website to hear the eerie sounds of Saturn!

The sounds of Saturn!

OK, well, Thank you all again for reading my blog ad please know your al in my prayers each morning! Take care and God bless ya! KUTPs!!!!

The one about a family photo, the window shade "event", and my visit to my former DS.....

Here is a fun picture that I actually took myself..because Tiffany wanted to make :change of address" postcards to send out to everyone we know...I just love the fact that Halo is licking Tiffany in it, heh.....

Sunday night, Tiffany and I went with a few of the youth to go eat @ BW3's (Buffalo Wild Wings) and we had lots of fun while we were there...but while we were there I noticed that the sun had gone down and I wanted to be nice to the establishment and raise their window blinds...well, after I pulled on the cord to raise the blind...the blind did not go up or down at all...and then one of the youth noticed that it was starting to fall off the rod!!!! and well, it did fall off the rod...slowly....and completely! Needless to say I asked everyone if they were ready to leave...but then I decided that I would just be good and go tell the owner that I thought that I might be at total fault of destroying his window blind...and much to my relief he told me it was no big deal and that it happens all the time....good thing too...I was feel so bad that I would have given him all the money in my wallet at the time if it would have helped...(all 2 dollars)...but I tried to put it back up before anyone saw.....(as if the table I was eating with did not filled the entire restaurant with boisterous and extremely loud laughter) and Tiffany just happened to grab my camera and take my picture of me attempting (or at least a poor excuse of me attempting) to put the shade back up on the window...... ha ha funny funny.....

And lastly, today I went to Lexington to go to a few meetings, and on my way back I stopped by to see my previous District Superintendent Larry Hall, his wife and their VERY sweet dog! Larry moved to KY the same time I did...actually a few days before..and on his way up to KY was in a very rough car accident and he was in the hospital for a few days and I just wanted to let everyone see how wonderful he is doing! It is amazing to me how fast he is healing...he is now only using a small cane and getting around...Truly amazing...and what a wonderful sweet house they have moved into......so all of that to say....here is a picture for al you NM residents...and I ask all of yall to please KUTPs for everyone including Larry's continued healing....Well, long day tomorrow, with Breakfast meeting, taking Tiffany's car to get fixed...and praying that it will not cost too much so we can afford to pay them to fix it and to buy tires for my car...that I actually feel very unsafe driving in rain....Oh and through up some prayers for all the older people here in the Cinci area...because the heat index got up to today around 110 and is expected to be around the same tomorrow...Thanks! Love yall, take care, and God bless ya! Posted by Picasa

The one about Dave & Busters.....

Well, Friday was another fun and exciting day in the life of the Hollums''. We had some of the previous youth when we were in Lexington come see us here in Cold Spring (they went to a Dave Matthew's Band concert, spent Thursday night with us, and Friday they wanted to spend the day with us and so after taking a blind vote (yes..none of us could decided what to do, heh) we decided on going to Dave & Busters!!! We actually had a lot of fun and so I thought I would show yall a few pictures of what we did....

here is another view of Tiffany and Mallory playing Dance Dance Revolution (or some Japanese version of it)...I could not believe it..but Tiffany actually won! you can tell they had lots of fun!....

it is so funny...because out of all the really cool games they had in there all Tiffany wanted to play was Mrs. Pac-Man!!! So...guess what they had.... yep she actually got to act 3...which is better than I could ever get to...so so many hours of playing with her Dad must have paid off...but here she is playing 2 player with Matt....and get this...she actually beat him @ Galaga (here is the exact kind of machine that they played on)!!!! It was amazing too! What is it with Tiffany and arcades? but I have to tell you...I find this trait in a woman very desirable, heh....my wife is so cool!!!

Here is Matt feeling the heat from Tiffany.....

Here is Tiffany beating Matt with her eyes closed....

And here is Tiffany dancing her jig in a movie format(AVI)...this is very similar to her dance with the new Harry Potter book (for those of you who were wanting to see this insanity)....oh man it is uh...well.... just when I go and say that she is cool...she goes and does this thing every now and then....(I guess that is part of her charm...heh heh she puts up with my hair..and I put up with her jigs) heh heh...

And this trip the one that got the most tickets from the machines was Matt....He hit 3 sevens in a row...and got something like 350 tickets...so here he is and the tickets coming out @ the bottom....

Matt and Mallory riding a roller coaster game that lifts and goes sideways depending on the track on the screen that they are looking @....Matt even went "no hands"...heh....

Thins was a game that you hold on to two metal handles and it "shocks" you until you let go...(it actually just moves the sticks around so much that you can not handle them)...but this is the way I felt after spending the money @ the place...it was a lot of fun...but the wise person realizes that even though they use a "charge card" to play the games with playing Pac-Man cost around $1.00...oh well...we all still had fun and for the cost of playing games for two hours it would have cost us more to go see a movie on IMAX anyway, heh....

and lastly...after had all that fun together...Tiffany and I had to run back to her church and do the Asbury UMC VBS finale for the parents...and man were those kids cute! I took this photo from the balcony and zoomed in...so it is not real clear...but let me tell you it sure was cute! Tiffany was sitting just behind the front pew directing all the song's motions and movements. They learned all about the lord's prayer this week...and even though Tiffany was very tired each night..she still loves being with the kids! Well, that is all for now...yall have a wonderful weekend...and I hope that Tiffany and I will be able to get a good date night tonight..and that I can finish memorizing my next part of the story of Ordinary and his big dream! Love yall and KUTPs!!! Posted by Picasa

The one about our trip to Chuck E. Cheese....and some funny stuff too....

Well, yesterday we spent the morning and noon time with Lisa (the other associate Pastor that I work with)...just to get to know each other a little...and after meeting in Tiffany's fav place to EVER go (Starbucks in Barnes&Noble) I suggested several places to eat that Lisa did not care for (ha ha Lisa I made you out to be the bad gal, heh) and so I decided for all of us that we would go to Chuck E. Cheese! Well, we went there and we decided to get the pizza drink combo meal that came with 25 tolkens...just so we could see if Lisa could back up her skeet ball skills that she "claimed to have", heh heh.....Well, I wasted all my tolken on some horrible spinning coin game (because I did not want to play any games that the kids were having so much fun on) and it ripped me off two times...but what does Tiffany do? She walks right over to the same machine and puts on tolken in and wins a HUGE amount of tickets!!! I could not believe it...I spent all my tolkens on that darn machine and she walks over and just put her first coin of the lunch in it and it spits out all kinds of tickets!!!! So, here is Tiffany and Lisa enjoying the crazy amount of tickets.....

and here is the amount of tickets I got from the stinking machine!!!!....

And Tiffany gloating and rubbing it in.....

and me with my tickets.....

once again...Tiffany.....and......

me....... Posted by Picasa

-----------

The great thing about it all is that we looked around for a deserving child to receive all of our combined tickets before we left and lets just say that we made one little girl VERY happy, heh....lots of fun...and for those of you who might need this information...this makes for an amazing date night and brings joy to everyone around...just FYI....

=================

OK, well, I wanted to share with you all a very funny comedian that I really love to listen to on the radio...He is on the Bob and Tom show every now and then...and trust me most of the time that show is horrible...but this guy most of the time keeps it clean...and I would love to buy some of he CD's...but I found a website that you can buy his CD's but they have also made on of his funnier songs into a cartoon...so if you would like a silly laugh then please check out....

Heywood Banks and his song, "Toast"...(please note that site is filled with very crude and very funny humor...and links to other bad websites...but just watch the cartoon and you should be fine....so be careful)

Ok well, I could not resist it..I wanted you lets yall have some more fun with stand ups in cartoon form...so here is another one from the same site taking about the VERY first baseball game...it is VERY funny..and has tons of biblical jokes in it...please note it is just meant to be funny and not offensive...so please have my apology if it offends in any way..but I think it is very funny....

"the first baseball game" By Dan St.Paul.... (oh and for both of these you will need the Flash player)

Well, yall have a wonderful night and please take care and know that I love ya and am praying for ya...so you might as well....KUTPs!!!!!!!

The one about our friends the Eatons and Tiffany getting her new Harry Potter book.....

Well, Friday night we went to eat dinner and hang out with good our good friends from Seminary the Eatons. We had lots of fun..but the best part of the night was Will their oldest boy entertained us with riveting songs of Itsy-Bitsy Spider!!! It was lots of fun to be had by all.....

Not sure..but I think this is the spider...might be a frog too....

Here is the family...minus the little girl who had already gone to bed....

And I had to put this one in...of all the times that Tiffany had to put up with me getting Halo and Halo 2 and various other video games....we went to Super Wally World so that Tiffany could go get Harry Potter The Half Blood Prince!!! As you can see she really wanted it and she still looks good @ 12:30 am after spending the entire day shopping and then eating @ the Eatons, heh!!! Man, I love this woman!!! It was so funny when she saw the book in Wal-Mart she was so excited that she danced a little jig...and she went on to get other groceries while I went back to get a cart...when I went back past the book pile of the Harry Potter books there was another little kid...probably around 10 years old...that was doing the exact same jig that Tiffany danced for the Harry Potter book, ha ha ha ha...oh man..I knew right then that I might be rubbing off on Tiffany..you know acting like a little kid every now and then, heh....Well, I need to go to bed because church is tomorrow...and guess what Tiffany is reading tonight, heh....but We did get Tiffany's laptop

, (ultimately price played a huge roll in buying it...after you throw in a backpack, wireless portable mouse, 2 year warranty, and one small case of CD-R's then you have spent well over the $800 the church gave you to buy it..and into your own pocket...but we had some help from parents donating a little to the fund and of course we kicked some in there too...after all it is money to the church and the youth really do need the computer!!!) and I spent until 3:00 am setting it up for her so she can use it on Sunday if she needed too...but other than that I wish you all a wonderful 1st day of the week...and may you all be blessed this Sunday...whither you go to your faith tribe or not...take care and God bless yall!!!! The one about hey what no pictures from your camera?

Yep that is right..I decided to actually post a blog post without pictures can you believe that? Although I am sure I will hear about how this one is too long for Tom and Nanaw to read...but oh well, I guess yall can have Daddy read it to you if you complain (heh heh...I sure do love yall!)

Well, It has been a long time since I shared some of the cool websites I have found in the past few days...so I thought I would give you another good old cool set of sites to visit...(or programs to DL, heh)

well lets see my fav list up here......

Well, probably one of the coolest things I have been doing is playing around with a VERY cool VERY free program called....Google Earth....you can Download it here!

This program acts a lot like Google Maps...but this time you can do fly-bys change the tilt, look @ certain buildings in 3-D..and all kinds of stuff...I love looking at people's houses and stuff, heh.... so join me in spending way too much time playing around with this program...(note to everyone you have to have a high speed internet connection to play with this program!)(once you download it go to the top visited sites for some amazing stuff.... especially the Grand Canyon!

=============================

Next would be....well, I used to have a blog post from some guy that had all 70 something commercials of the Budweiser "Real Man of Genius" ads...but now all he has up is a bittorent link to it...so if your a big fan and have bittorent..then I guess you can check them all out...man I love these commercials! they are all so stinking funny...well, I guess if you want the link here you go...right here!

===========================

And next......for those of you who might get brave and try to eat Sushi...then you can learn how to eat it and how to make some of it @ this website!

And if you would like to know where to go to eat some then you can go here!

==========================

This site.....will let you know if there are any free screenings of movies to come out soon in your area...now so far I have only seen stuff for Boston, and places like that..I am sure that some day they might have a few in Dallas, or (I am hoping)Cinci! heh...

============================

Oh man..I almost forgot...(how could I forget this one!!!) Here is a website that allows you to check out a tornado up, close, and personal...as it flies right past and over a cool science devise they placed in the path of (I think an F4) very cool!

========================

A while back I tried to show everyone the destruction of the tornadoes around my home town of Floydada...and I went to the Floydada newspaper website (found here) and I thought I would show yall some of what it looks like after a tornado and one of what one actually looks like right where I grew up!

Destruction:

"A JUNE 9TH TORNADO RIPPED APART THE BACK OF THE HARRIS HOME AND DESTROYED THEIR TREES. Staff Photo" (quotes from the website and Paper)

"TREE LIMBS ARE DUMPED BY TORNADO IN THE BACKYARD OF THE HARRIS HOME. Staff Photo"
I f you would like to read the article for these photos you can read it here!

"PETERSBURG/FLOYD COUNTY TORNADO--This photograph of the Petersburg tornado was supplied to us by David Drummond, Newschannel 11 First Alert Storm Chaser. The tornado grew as it swept through Floyd County damaging homes, cars, crops, and barns. No one was injured. Drummond also supplied us with pictures of the tornado while on the ground in Floydada, however it was so large (reportedly 1/2 mile wide) that the photograph appeared as only a large black cloud from the ground up. Courtesy Photo by David Drummond"

Oh man that rocks!!!!!!!!!!! and check out the damage!!! This will tell you that Tornadoes are not to be messed with....just chased, heh

"THURSDAY'S TORNADO PULLED UP POWER LINES AND REDUCED THEM TO SPLINTERED LUMBER. THE HOME BEHIND HIS POWER LINE ESCAPED SERIOUS DAMAGE. STAFF PHOTO"

"THE RICK REDDY BARN located at the McCoy Gin took a hit from Thursday night's tornado. The Delgado home across the street from the Gin lost windows and chickens in the storm. The Delgado's took refuge in a cellar and were not injured. The Reddy home east of the Gin was damaged by a well house that was thrown into their home. The Reddy's took shelter in a basement. Staff Photo"

"OVER 30 SPRINKLER SYSTEMS IN FLOYD COUNTY WERE DAMAGED FROM THURSDAY NIGHT'S STORM. STAFF PHOTO"

that stuff is just amazing! I love Tornadoes..not because of all the destruction they make...but the excitement that flows through my blood is amazing when I hear sirens or see the Thunderstorm Warning pop up in the TV...I guess growing up in Tornado country will make you respect them...and always have...but I have been crazy and chased them in college (with Ryan, heh) and been scared as everything during Spirit Wind in the basement of a church waiting for the funnel cloud to go over us and seeing it pick up lots of dirt just outside of town...they are amazing...and I promise if Tiffany would let me I would have loved to have been a spotter for the city or something like that...and I know if I would not have been a pastor..I might have gone into being a weather ma...or a chef, heh...both sound god to me...made be I could chase tornadoes while scarfing down an amazing French dish, heh....

===========================

Well, I have give yall enough for tonight...I hop e you all have a wonderful weekend...and take care! Please know yall are in my prayers and God bless you all!

KUTPs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one about this weekend...and my roommate in College having a Baby!!!!

Hello everyone!!! Well, I have had a very long weekend...but it sure was good...but before I get into the fun...I thought I would show you a picture of Halo barking at himself in the mirror with Sushi watching...heh...I man it was cracking me up.....

This weekend... we had Jeremy, Will, and Chris (see picture above) that come over and spend Friday night with us..and then Chris spent Saturday evening with us so he could stay and hear Tiffany preach...we had lots of fun playing Halo 2 & Fusion Frenzy, and then Tiffany talk all night long and I think we went to bed Friday night (Sat. morning) around 4:00 am!!! Oh man I was tired then we spent all day Saturday in Cincinnati and we went to the Apple store in Kenwood and ate @ http://www.johnnyrockets.com/index2.php, and went to go see the Fantastic Four (save the money for a DVD rent...not worth the price of admission if you ask me...a little too cheesy for me)...but a fun time was had by all and then I went home to finish memorizing the Parable (if you look hard enough in the book here in the link you can find the first page of the parable in the book..I think it is Pg. 13) I told for the sermon illustration for Gay our Sr. Pastor...it was a little hard memorizing it with all of the lack of sleep I had got..but I pulled it off with the help and Grace of god...heh....

here is another shot of Halo making Chris feel VERY welcome to the Hollums' house! Halo sure does give funny hugs...but it is obvious that Halo sure does love to give them....

And I think that Chris was traumatized by all of the hugging...but I bet he will be just fine wit a little counseling...he is such a good sport about the whole thing!....

Poor guy could barely eat anything or even keep it down...heh...well, today after Tiffany preached at her church and all of us ate some good Chinese food we drove straight to Lexington to meet up with our very good friends Corey and Amanda..it was great to see them..and then we made a mad dash run back to Cinci for Tiffany to get to youth tonight...and for me to go to 2 different meetings...and now needless to say I am going to bed! so as always...please KUTPs...and love that I love ya! Posted by Picasa

Oh and I must not forget to tell you all about how great it is that one of my best friends in the entire world (Greg Anderson) just have a baby with his wonderful wife...check out his blog with baby pictures and a VERY happy Daddy!

Oh and one last side note...if you are a part of the Florence UMC Tribe....then I really would suggest that you check out the Florence UMC website...it is very helpful and includes everything from the church calendar, to a discussion board, to reserving the church or the church van...etc...lts of great stuff. and I really would appreciate if you could get the word out about it to everyone else...and those of you who are not part of the church check it out too...you might find something you like too! OK love yall and I have got to go to bed now, heh..... KUTPs!

The one about my parents leaving, Happy late 4th of July...and my sermon last Sunday....

Well, here are some pictures of my parents leaving town last Friday..sorry these pictures are late...but they were still in the camera and so I thought I would put them up for yall to see them leave and also see their "rig"....

Me getting my Mom back for taking so many pictures, heh....

"The RIG".....

Yesterday for the 4th (Happy late 4th everyone!!!) Tiffany and I sat and watched a wonderful short parade in front of our house in the morning and then we went to go eat with John and his new wife Sylvia!!! Here is John drinking Turkish Tea..(very strong stuff if you have never had it...very strong!!!) well, he always cracks me up so I thought I would take his picture.....

Now this one may need a little explanation, heh....this is the first drawing I have received from special someone (Jessica to be exact)! I love it...and even though I might look like Uncle Fester or a Vampire...or possibly one of Satan's minions...I know that she yelled to me on Sunday that she likes me..and maybe in her own way is telling me that she loves me...and you know what...I LOVE the picture! I met not too many of you have had a little child (that you barely know) draw you a picture (during the middle of your sermon...and it was a short one, heh) Well, thank you again Jessica (if you read this) and please know that I will treasure your art for as long as I am still around or this piece is still around...no amount on money from ebay will let this leave my hands!!! heh heh

======================================

Well, just in case any of you would like to read the sermon I gave this last Sunday here you go (Please note the St. John's members have already heard it..and I might have posted it before...can't remember..but I made a few changes to it).......The Christ Cafe.......(remember you need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it and if you do not have it then you can download it from the link under my favorites on the right side of the blog.....Thank you all for coming and God bless you! And never forget....KUTPs!!!! Posted by Picasa

the one about Tiffany's good cooking and my parents and Aunt's last day with us....

Well, for the last day with my parents and Aunt...we decided to just go to Florence and eat and look @ possible computers for Tiffany...and then go home and cook a last meal (for this trip) together...and watch a movie....also...we gave the Asbury UMC (Tiffany's church) tour to my family...and we just had to get a shot of the board that the church did for Tiffany...all the hands had signatures...very nice!!!.....

I think this one was before dinner and I saw my Mom and Tiffany talking with halo just walking around our deck...so I took this photo...we ate Chicken Marsala, with garlic Mash (2 sticks of butter and heavy whip...oh yeah!!!...I am the one that made these, heh heh), fresh green bean...Spring salad, and strawberries with real cream and sugar to top it all off.....it was wonderful and Tiffany cooked it all...she is wonderful!!!! (man I love my wife!!!) and then we went over to the HT and watched Hitch...an excellent movies if you ask me and one I would recommend to anyone...well those of the right age, heh....well, love you all and please please please....KUTPs!!!! I am off to bed right now...because we are waking up early to help see my parents and Aunt Harryette off tomorrow morning...yall take care! Posted by Picasa
