The one about....GO WATCH SERENITY!!!!!

Well, Tiffany and I saw the movie today and wow..I loved it...don't go expecting a hunky dorie ending...but a GREAT movie and I would encourage all of you to rent the TV series DVD set and check out the movie...I loved it and even though it might not get AMAZING reviews (from a bunch of movie reviewers that have no idea what great character development looks like)...I have a feeling that hopefully someone will take notice! Please, please go see this movie this weekend and help raise the box office stats so that Universal realize what a great product they have!...I hope this show comes back as a second movie or second TV show!!!

So everyone go, watch, and enjoy Serenity! Have fun...and enjoy the ride!

Ok Ok...enough Serenity pics....but go see it already! heh...yall take care and God bless ya! oh and of course....KUTPs!!!!

Heya DG! I would like to think I inspired the title of this thread with my lovely, all-caps instant messages. At any rate, it was a show that I absolutely adore. You're getting the semi-review before I give my in-depth review on my own blog! Simply put..."In your face, Lucas!" Even more simply put..."In your face, Roddenberry!" And even more simply put..."In your face, Fox Television!"

I don't know what y'all's Thanksgiving plans are this year. I would love to get to see you! However, as far as Whedon-talk goes, we might be the only two geeks at the table. Maybe you could get your awesome parents to wrap themselves in the 'verse (I HOPE you know what 'verse means by now). Then they can join in. Hehe!

Anyhow, I'm glad you got to experience the newest, best science fiction to hit the planet in a very, very long time.

Your cuz,
Eason

Hope yall like it Momma and daddy! I think you will really like it a lot!

I am very glad too...that they left it open to a ton of more possible stories after this one! Of course I know what Verse is! Dude I have watched all the DVDs twice and the 2 hr fist and second one twice... I agree that it is realy good stuff.... I just hope it does well at the box office...so we can keep seeing more of it! And besides...even if it only stayed on the big screen. I think that maybe someday they can get a following and get some big money to do even better stuff, heh.... Thanks for commenting!

Hey there, Teresa and Randy! I'm so happy that you two are going to see the film! I really hope you enjoy it!

Serenity pulled in 4.2 million on Friday. Universal is really counting on Saturday (today) being its big day.

A lot of things will determined how the 'verse continues beyond this movie. The DVD box office is fairly new, but it's effective. It's why this film was made in the first place, because the series DVDs did well enough for Universal to be interested in buying the movie rights. So...here's to hoping it kicks toosh in theatres with opening weekend numbers and on DVD!

I do know this: Browncoats are extremely loyal. I saw it twice yesterday (yes, I am THAT geek) and the late night showing was amazing. The theatre was packed. The coolest part? Everyone actually CHEERED and gasped and clapped! It received a standing ovation at the end! It makes for a very special experience because this film really was a labor of love. Oh, and something else that's funny...the ENTIRE Texas Tech football team, Mike Leach included, went to the 5:00 showing of Serenity last night. Put that football team in a theatre that is full of Lubbockites, and you get a lot of people asking these big guys for autographs before and after the film. From what I heard, most of the team really enjoyed Serenity. Isn't that cool?
