Happy birthday Gary!!!

Well the staff took Gary (the Sr. Pastor @ Florence UMC) out to eat for his birthday. He wanted to go to the place where they cook it all right in front of you and flip their knives around and such...it was lots of fun and I just had to pull out the new cam and take a picture...anyway...Happy Birthday Gary and God bless you!

-----------

Well, it is way too late for me to be writing this post...but I am doing it anyway...I am very excited because tomorrow we (Markus and myself) leave to go to Seattle. A place he has never been and I have only been a long time ago and remember very little! We hope to visit the 1st Starbucks (ever) and maybe get a bite to eat...anyway...yall have a great weekend. and I hope to get yall updates from the conference while I am there! Thank you so much for your prayers..for our travel, for Tiffany being a little sick, and most importantly for my Nanaw.....she is leaving the hospital tomorrow and being placed into the Floydada (my home town) nursing home until she gets a little better and then if she does well, they might let her go home!!! It is just amazing. I told my mom today, if there was anyone that deserved to get to go be with Jesus it would be Nanaw...but for some reason she just keeps on going...wow!!! OK I am going to bed...thanks to my wife pacing my bags and loving on me to go to bed...cyall and God bless you!!! KUTPs!!! Posted by Picasa

This morning's run, WISH list, Materialism, and Nanaw update......

So here is the place I love to run @ in Ft. Thomas! I really do miss running here if, 1)I can not have enough discipline to wake up in time, 2)it is raining, or lastly 3) My body needs to recover for the previous morning's run, heh...

There are a few more photos over @ my flickr page if you want to see a few more.
This is my view from the home stretch...but the Nike+ device most of the time is off, and so I get to run a little more...and that is fine I need too anyway.
This is the sign that I was was not up....I would go much more often if I knew that I could bring Halo...but oh well, I am sure that the soccer players appreciate not finding the gifts that halo would leave for them.

And lastly here is a bench that is beside the track...that I thought i would get a fun sot of the soccer scoreboard from. It turned out very nice... At least I liked it.

------------------

Well, I took off the Frapper map thing on the right side of my blog. It was cool seeing where everyone is from, but it sure was taking a long time to load so it is gone now....

I added my wish list to the side though (just click the bottom that says: My wish list...it will send you to a del.icio.us set of book marks that includes my amazon wish list but also things that you can not get through Amazon...like the Salt Cellar from Alton Brown! woo hoo!)....now this wish list is not for you...unless you are family....I only put up a wish list because it saves my family and me the time it takes to ask what I would want and me getting caught up in the whole materialism thing. (i just do it once and it s done) and believe me I took the term WISH list literally! So don't (even family) get too crazy in there!!!)

<--side note-->

Materialism has always been one of my weaknesses. It is hard when your birthday is in the end of November, and then Christmas rolls around right after that. It is almost like I have been trained all my life to get stuff around the end of the year....and even though I am MUCH better about this it still creeps up and scares me a little bit.

<--/side note-->

So I am getting very excited about the conference

that I will be attending this Thursday thru Sunday in Seattle! I just bought some magazines for the flights and a book of poetry...yep that is right a book of poetry. Now I have never been a person of poetry, but seeing all the poetry over @ J.D.'s blog and hearing Fred Craddock speak made me want to try it out (for the first time since 8th grade)... So I bought a book on tape and a small book for the plane and I hope to go from there. For some reason my artistic side has been coming out lately through the camera and now I am wanting to play around a little bit with words. So if I ever get anything on paper I might try to put some of it here. Anyway yall take care God bless ya and have a wonderful evening...and week if I don't blog before I leave. I am sure I will try (if I am not too tired) to blog the conference so maybe yall can be looking for that, as well.

Oh and the last I heard (this afternoon) was that Nanaw was doing better, but it is still a up hill battle from here on...s as always....please KUTPs!!!! Thank yall!

Some random stuff....

Me and my Nanaw!

A Christmas ago...with my Nanaw!

Well, my Nanaw is still not where we would love for her to be, but she seems to be recovering still. The congestive heart failure seems to be forcing Nanaw on a roller coaster ride. one day she is doing good, following the physical therapists directions and eating a little bit here and there, and the next day she is stubborn not doing anything or eating anything.... she has been taken off the O2 tent, and is now only on the nose O2 tube...she might still need the tent when she sleeps, but they are playing it by ear right now... Thank you all for your prayers and please KUTPs!!!

Anyone want to see how good my Mom is as painting... well here is one of the best ones I have ever seen from her....

yep told ya... Love you Momma!

and now for a little typical D.G.... John Choi caught me being me.... Great picture John...and great face Kim!!!

More for later...but yall have a great week!

fall (ing) leaves

This was what I got to experience this morning during my quiet time..just awesome.

My Nanaw is still not doing well....

Well, I got a instant message today from my mother saying that my Nanaw still has fluid in her lungs (congestive heart failure) The Dr. is going to be talking to my father, aunt, and Tom (Nanaw's husband) about what to do.

I must say that I love my Nanaw........ And through my entire life that is her name, "my Nanaw". heh heh.... She has lived a wonderful life and I know that she lives to love and loves to live! I bet even right now she could smile and raise her eyebrows even if she could not speak, heh...

So pray for God's will to be done. That is can that we can do! She is not dead yet, and neither are you, but death is not something to be feared...and life is worht fighting for, but not at the cost of selfishness.

Thank yall and love you! KUTPs!!!!

All Hallow's Eve early.....

Well, tonight after youth group was over @ Asbury I went down to the cemetery behind the church and wanted t take a few pictures to get everyone in the Hallow's Eve mood...

I love this one became it has that, "shaky what the...is that a ghost over there in the pic" look to it...heh... it really is me just trying to hold the camera REALLY still while the shutter stayed open, heh... I love the look though.
This one was just with a flash, and even though it is very sad...there is a peace about it.
Threw in the Sepia tone for this one...This has a great feel to it...and I just used the camera's filter...none of these have had any Photoshop...it is just me playing around with my camera.
A little B&W action here... on Flickr I will put the three different versions of this one up and yall can tell me which one you like best. Have a great night and God bless yall!

Seriously, go over to my Flickr page (just click on the ad over there on the right...and you can see the weird lens flare that looks like a "spirit" (or in my mind a single celled organism) but is sounds a lot better and much more freaky as a "spirit" (insert crazy laughter here) heh...enjoy the notes I added to it...see if you can find the one I am talking about in the set titled, "All Hallow's Eve" OK, yall take care and KUTPs!!!

Some pictures from today after church....

Here are a few pictures I took after church today. I have yet to really go out and have a full day with my new camera...and to tell yall the truth, I have having a ton of fun...and wishing I had a digital SLR, heh.... well nah not really, I am having too much fun with this tiny camera! And besides I kind o look at it like it is a challenge to make just as good photos with this small suck than the others with their big guns...the only thing I wish is that I could some how make a Marco lens for the camera...that would rock..but other than that I LOVE IT! So here is Sage, two Organic Apple shots (tell me which Apple shot yall like better) and one last one of a tree! The colors are awesome this time of year... I am still trying to get with Scott, and go out for a day or half day to go take pictures...I need someone that can jog my memory of how to take some shots...especially since I am still trying to learn my camera. Anyway I hope yall like them and there are even more over @ my Flickr page. I thought my Mom might like to paint the apple one..the class she just took did lots of still life's...oh and Momma send me that last one via email so I can blog it and show everyone how awesome it is! It is probably one of my most favorite ones so far!

Yall have a wonderful Sunday take care, God bless, and KUTPs!!!

Oh and my Nanaw (grandmother) has been diagnosed with having a severe infection of diverticulitis, she is running a fever now..which means more hospital time..but Tom (her husband) is healing up fine..and Tiffany is getting better but very slowly...so keeping up the prayers is greatly appreciated! oh and the wedding I got to officiate yesterday went great! I can't wait to have (The Oats) oer to eat so I can take pictures of their son for yall! He is so stinking cute!!! Cyall!

The purse of death!

Danger Will Robinson, Danger!!! This is my wife's purse...and man if her cell phone goes off...you might as well just expect for it to go into voice mail! It really is scary to stick your hand in there...you will never know what will happen! There is the leopard case...with it's deadly zipper like teeth, the seemingly sweet green with flower wallet of death, the old (and cranky) yellow coin purse, and I can not tell you how bad the pen and pencil infestation has become in there! There is no cure! Well, except for....no...not that...anything but THAT............ Another purse? AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Posted by Picasa

Tiffany still not up to snuff, a rumor, and some websites....

I forgot to mention that Tiffany is still not back to normal. She does not feel sick any more but the same symptoms are around. The stool sample came back negative for parasites or bacteria, so the Dr. told her that if she is still having the "looseness" then she would have to come back in on Monday and they would do some more tests... it is all just weird...and we both really just want her to be taken care of and all better!

Also, my grandmother is in the hospital right now...she went in a few days ago with high blood pressure, and then they released her, only fr her to go back in because she was not eating anything...she is feeling better Tom (her husband) said, but pray that her desire to eat comes back...

And speaking of Tom...he just had surgery a day or two ago, on his face. Every now-and-then he has to have some skin growths removed just in case...and he just sent me a picture of what he looks like and man they did work on him... he said one side was looking good, but the other sure was cut on. So pray for him too.

Even though his picture looks scary, it is kind of funny also, you can tell he took the picture himself, and he even joked about acting like a mummy in all the bandages...just in time for All Hallow's Eve! heh. heh...

With all of that said please KUTPs!!!!

OK, here are a few websites I have been wanting to put on the blog for a while and it is about time to do another one of these posts.....

Here is a link to a site that is talking about the rumored iPod touch screen....I know that the picture above is not real, but man oh man I really am looking forward to this one...WHEN it comes out, heh... but anyway...here is the latest news of the touchscreen iPod and the iPhone
(oh and they are saying December might be when we officially hear more about them!

For those of you who do not know there are going to be two new video game systems this Christmas! The Playstation 3 ($499 & $599) and the Nintendo Wii ($250). That means you could buy a Nintendo Wii gmae system and a Xbox 360 for te price of one Sony Playstation 3! Anyway.... I am very happy with my Xbox 360 and There are several games coming out that I know I will enjoy in the future, so i was not every excited about either of the PS3 or the Nintendo Wii....until I saw these videos....

These videos really show how great the new Nintendo controller is...I think this system will be the definitive system for parties! You do not have to know what button to press for the basic games...you just swing the controller in the motion you want to show up on screen and it shows up. The guy in the picture above is bowling...And Nintendo is going back to the roots f Video Games and actually giving away a game with the system! Very interesting..and I really would love to play around with one some day!

------------------

Well, I guess that is all for now...look forward to the next Craddock installment soon!
