One about the great Jay adventure....

It's a plane....it's a bird...it's Jay running people over in a wheelchair! Go get 'um Jay!!!! Take them out and while they are down...ask them if they know Jesus, Ha Ha Ha Ha....just kidding!

(one man's adventure is another man's death toll....It happened one scary day, when a half crazed Cancer killer (well in the process of doing it) decided he was "cooped up" in his home to too long...and his faithful loving wife (might be streching on the love part here...she is putting up with a lot, heh) decided to allow Him to get a wheel chair for "helping him deal with the stresses of life) As he sat done in the wheeled chair of support his eyes gleamed and the chair became one from "support" to racing and of death! He looked for all those who do not give to the Lymphoma society, and those who would rather take up collections and give towards the super bowl gambling pot, heh Ok Ok....... I need to stop it is getting stupid......heh.......well for some of you, heh)

Feb 1, 05:

Jay has been complaining he wants to get out of the house a bit but the fact that he can barely walk makes it nearly impossible, so today I rented him a wheelchair.
I stopped by a medical supply store and found that the insurance will pay for it as a bonus I had to call Jay's Doctor's office to get a prescription and they were highly supportive of the idea. So it worked out well. He has been spending the past few hours sleeping resting up for his big adventure. It's actually not a bad day today so the last I heard it was between Cracker Barrel and Barnes and Nobel.
Once he wakes up we'll see if he has had a change of mind. I don't expect us to be able to be out very long but I think it will do a lot for his mental status.

This morning he had an eye doctor appointment that took forever. It started at 7:50 AM and I thought we would be safe to have the home nurse come by at 9:30 but 9:30 can and went and they still weren't done with him. We have the BEST home nurse (all of them are great but we love Michelle). Jay's eye appointment was in Greensburg (the far side from our house) and of course at 9:30 I found my cell phone to be out of juice so I got in the car and drove to my house to let her know that he would be late. She was so nice, she followed me back to the Doctor's office and drew his blood there for him and it was great. It was such a big help. We appreciate her so much.

The doctors appointment really didn't tell us anything. They said his eye should heal with time and Jay wasn't happy with that answer but there's not much either of us can do. We were lucky because this Doctor could have been all the way in Pittsburgh but he does a rotation here in Greensburg so it was great. This is the same Retinal specialist that saw him at West Penn. He still has some hemorrhaging but he said it is getting better.

Well, I have to prepare for Jay's big adventure tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.

Take care everyone,

Sheila
