The one with Noelle and Caleb's goodbye and Tiffany's surgery info....

Well we had one crazy day yesterday dropping off Noelle and Caleb at the airport and doing pre-op stuff for Tiffany....yes Tiffany will be having surgery this Friday @ 1:00 pm EST to check for any reasons that might be causing us not to be parents...So please keep us in prayer we have to be @ the hospital @ 11:00 am and she should be released that afternoon to come back home! Her parents and my parents are going to be here on Friday so that will be a full weekend for all of us...heh....well this picture is of us walking to the 1st Dr. office Pre-op appointment before we dropped off Noelle and Caleb at the airport.....

Oh forgot before we left that morning here is Caleb feeding me breakfast, heh.... dang I got some major wrinkles in the back of my neck, heh heh...oh well comes with the style of hair cut..and "massive" neck I own too, heh....

Caleb also loves lights....I means LOVES them!!! He would sit or in this case stand for hours wanting me to turn the lights on and off...over and over and over again...but like a good uncle....I did what ever would make him happy....I know his other uncle would do the same...heh....

before we left that morning I ate with another pastor Friend of mine planting a church here in Santa Fe at a cool coffee shop and art space called Cloud Cliff here in Santa Fe..and I wanted to give yall a taste of how people market people here in Santa Fe....yep you pick your favorite religion and have we got a candle for you! heh.... I just saw this and thought it amazing....

Ok back to the Dr.'s visits yesterday....Here is the Dr. that we have been seeing over the half 1/2 year. He is such a great guy..and the nurses are great too...but boy do we dislike the billing department and our insurance company.... heh....

After that Dr.'s Appointment we went to go eat @ Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza...Oh man I am telling you that is some of the best pizza and they have this amazing red chili oil to go on it that is perfect! Apparently they have restaurants all over the US (I never knew that) but the closest to where we are in KY was St. Louis...so I guess we will not get it too often unless they open in Cinci some time....anyway here is Caleb stirring his mother's glass of water with the straw...I guess he might have a future in Bar Tending (sp?) well, at least it is a great place to do ministry. heh

Tiffany had to get into the action too...I like this shot because it shows Caleb's movement with a smile and that is what he was almost the entire time he was here...and little blur of a smile, heh....I miss him and Noelle already, heh....

and I know this really does not belong...but I saw this sculpture in the hospital and had to take a pic of it...this looks like a painting,but when you get closer you see that the Dr.'s head and the heart in his hands are actually sticking out!!! Very cool...and the picture does not do it justice...but I loved it and thought it was very cool...all bronze too...... The one about us moving to KY in June!!!!!!

Well, I know that most of you know this already...and have known about the possibility of this happening for a long time now...but I had to wait until it was official all across the board before I wanted to blog about it.....

Tiffany and I (well actually the moving guys) will be loading up several boxes, 2 beds, a grill, a dog, cat, a computer, a home theater, etc... into a moving truck or cars and driving to KY. I have accepted the position as Associate Pastor (hopefully that title will be much better after I get there) @ Florence 1st UMC in Florence, KY. We are still fleshing out my responsibilities, but the over all purpose will be for me to plant a satellite, or daughter church to Florence UMC in the community of Union, KY. Tiffany has accepted the position of youth minister/ associate pastor with the understanding of doing youth ministry and developing/growing a contemporary worship service @ Asbury UMC in Highland Heights, KY. Basically if you could not see from all the google maps that we will be in the very northern pat of KY and all of the places are basically burbs of Cinci. I f you would like to know more about the area that I will be in ministry with Florence to plant the church then you can check out this link talking about the county it will all happen in.

We are beyond excited about this ministry opportunity for both and us, and I can not express to yall the calling/nudging that God has placed on our hearts for church planting. It really is crazy, but faith filled and very humbling for both of us that God would even ask us to serve him in this difficult but exciting way!

So, that is the big news...that we will be moving from Santa Fe around June 8th and moving into the parsonage in Cold Spring, KY around June the 15th-18th.

So all that to say...please KUTPs!!!!! We really need them right now, because trying t pack our house, tie-up loose ends @ work, Tiffany is having surgery on Friday to check for the reasons that we are not a Ma and Pa yet...State Track meet this Friday and Saturday, visiting KY for 4 days after Tiffany rest from the surgery for 4 days, coming home to a wedding the next weekend in Lubbock, New Mexico Annual Conference the next weekend, and driving to KY the weekend after that....needless to say our lives are a little crazed right now...but we are making it through it all just fine...(Thank you God, heh heh...and God through friends and family). and anyone else who might be able to help pack out house, heh.

I hope yall are doing good and if anyone wants our contact info for KY just email me and I will send it to you (at least how much info we have right now)....

Thank you for all of yall's prayers and please keep them coming...and I promise Tiffany and I will keep them going right back to yall!!!

The one with Happy Mother's Day!!!! And Noelle and Caleb's visit.......

Well here are pictures from Saturday....this one is of one of our youth (Holly) @ the church...oh and she is also the girlfriend of one of the throwers(Reese)...(also goes to the church...heh)...this is before Reese squishes her cheeks...and........

Well, the next few pictures are of Tiffany's sister (Noelle) and Caleb who are visiting us the first half of this week. It is so good to have them here...spending Mother's Day with them and little Caleb is just wonderful! It helps ease the pain for Tiffany and I not being parents YET!!!! :)

And I guess halo is getting to feeel the love from Caleb here....because Caleb was kissing and hugging Halo....I am sure Halo loved it and he is such a sweet dog...he has only tried to hump Caleb 4 times in the two days that have been with us....way to go Halo!!! Your getting better!!!!

Well, I took this shot on Saturday morning right after the track meet...(which BTW We now have two girls one shot and one disc, and three boys going to State...Man I have to hand out lots of Bawls on Monday for PR's) But anyway I saw this and had to tak this picture....basically it looked like a cop was pulling over another cop...heh heh...I think they were looking at weeds or something on the side of the road...but still very funny if you ask me.....you should have seen me hiding in my car trying to take this picture without them noticing, heh....Oh man I hope I do not have any Papparazi (?) in me, heh. The one with the pictures of Jay's last days and funeral

Well, here is a huge post and Tiffany an d I had a good cry the other night because I saw a picture of Jay and I thought to myself..."I miss him...because I was not done playing with him yet"...Tiffany held me and It just made me miss Jay a bunch and so we decided to look at al the pictures we took at the trip to Lexington first and then checked out a few photos from the transplant and the last few I have of Jay and then of course the funeral...it sure did help and I have wanted to put these up here for a long time...so sorry about the order...but here is the trip to go see Jay....

This is John Choi we stopped in Cinci to say hi to him and he is just amazing! We love you greatly John...and We are praying for your marriage this June to be a wonderful time in your life!!!!

Here are the youth in Lexington that we visited one morning...They are all two years older than what we remember them...but all of them are still sexy and wonderful!!!! It was great to see everyone before we headed up to see Jay.....

This was the first day we were with Jay when we arrived...he was at the end of his radiation and Chemo treatments...very sick and tired...but ready for the stem cell transplant.....

This was the next day and right before the stem cell transplant....

This is me getting the stem cell transplant...we were trying to show everyone how stinking big the needle was...and the picture does not seem do it justice, heh!!!!!

Here are the nurses (and wife) that took care of me the entire time it was happening...they had a few hick-ups but once they got them figured out then it was all good to go and 4 hours later.....

they bagged my stem cells...they were right about the procedure being a little bit of a let down because your there for 4 hrs. and yet the bag is so small....but they were the instrument that was going to be a good chance of healing my brother...and so we treated them very precious and even prayed of them with the nurses before they took them off to be "fixed" to go into Jay....

Well as you all know Jay's body just could not handle the Radiation and Chemo...and right after the stem cell transplant his body started shutting down and he passed away before the stem cells could go to work.... Here is me after we went back to the grave site after the dinner the church fed every guest at the funeral...oh man they are so nice.....

I miss him....

that night we all played D&D (becase that is what Jay wanted) and we all had a blast!!! It was one of the best short D&D campaigns I have ever played.... (thanks Rob)

Then in the week following we all got hooked on UNO Attack!!! Great fun and crazy game...and here is me with Jay's cat in my lap.....

Well, the only other thing i wanted to bring to yall's attention is the new Crest Whitening Vanilla Mint tooth paste!!! This stuff rocks....I love brushing my teeth with this stuff!!! I hope i don't destroy my gums, heh....
