This fat boy this morning just torn or severely sprained his hamstring muscle.....

Yes, that is right! I ran this morning and either tore my left leg's hamstring or severely sprained it...because I cannot straighten it at all! I had to be carried off the track from my friends and drove myself home to call my Dr. to find out he is out all week, and I have to leave a 30 mins to catch a flight with my wife t go to my Ordination interviews in Albq. NM. Yes, that is right, I get to drive to Louisville, KY and then be in airline fights with a left leg that I can not straighten at all.

So.....with all of that said....please be praying for me through Thursday until I can hopefully get to a Dr. and find out exactly what is wrong with me eventually!

And pray that I can forget about the pain during the interview and make it back here is one piece...Oh and please pray for Tiffany too...she is having to take care of me the entire time and also do her interviews as well. I feel so bad about all of this...oh well, such is life and I still give God praise and can rejoice in the life I have!......

but we sure could use your prayers. This will not be a fun day today...but we are up for the chalenge. Thank you!

This fat boy just ran a mile!!!!!!!!

Well, today, out of no where I just got through ruining the first mile of my life. 4 short and not too painful pals around that track just this morning! Funny I think my main motivation for running this morning was to stay warm. When I woke up around 5:45 this morning to talk e my dog out the temp was about 22, and I thought OK cool, the coldest I have run in was about 26 so I knew it would warm up before 7:30, and then when I woke up to run and I check the temp it had fallen to 19.2 degrees! I just knew that today was not going to be my best day out, heh heh.... plus to add to all the bad thoughts I had not gotten to run in about a week and a half, so I assumed that I would just be out of shape....Oh man.....

gratuitous Thanks:

Well, I know I could not have done it if it were not for God, who knows that even though I have let myself get fat...that I always had it in me, my wife who supports my running every morning by continuing to sleep in bed where it is warm and snuggled next to our dog (who is also very warm, heh) (actually granted she has hip problems and had an extreamly long day yesterday, so i wanted to give her the gift of sleeping! yes yes, I know I am a wonderful husband...Now if I could just get that folding laundry down, hew) I also have to think that the biggest looser the TV show had somethign to do with it...Even if it was just inspiring me to get my fat out on the track and see how much momentium I could get with starting the belly fat to bounce and see where I ended up after the jiggles, hew), and who knows myabe my brother was pushing me from heaven or making it even colder and lauging at the frozen breath in my soul patch), and of course, John Staviski my good friend who has been running each day we work out with me and pushing me (in his own quiet way) each step I take. I know that with out John this would never have been possible, because each morning that I would not want to wake up I knew that John would be up there and I would have to go! It good to be a friend! Oh yeah, and for my parents who give me money to eat with so that I don't whither and die...and of course their love and support...oh and my Nanaw, and Aunt Harryette, Christy, Kevin, Tom, mommy, Papa Eddie, Halo2, Brad, the Water OG friends, the HT, computers, my coaches in HS, clothing, etc.....

Well, I had to share this moment with everyone! It is a good day and a great week. Tiffany and I leave to goto Albq. tomorrow, and will be back on Thursday. We are getting interviewed for our ordination in the United Methodist Church, so please keep us both in your prayers during this week, for them to realize that it might not be too bad of an idea to have a crazy married couple in the ministry!

Ok enough of my thank you page for my mile marker....next up...2 miles, 3 miles, and a 5k run!!!!
(Oh and yes, I know that a mile is no big deal, and I am having some fun here...but you should know me a little by now...I love to have fun! ha ha ha.

Thank you all for your prayers and love! KUTPs!!!!

Happy V Day!

Happy Valentines Day everyone...I was so busy with getting new Cable Broadband Highspeed internet installed @ the house and taking my wife out to eat and watch a movie yesterday that I forgot to post it! So, one day late and a whole bunch of love are yours from me in the most mainly, heterosexual, Christian way possible....that's a bunch of platonic man love going on there....and don't yall forget it!

----------------------

Oh and I just found probably the best example of web 2.0 on the net! It is called Goowy. and you can see that I have placed a perma link to it over there on the right side of my blog...but it is basically a mac Desktop as a webpage or as your desktop too (if you DL that one)...but they have widgets and so many different customizable options that it is crazy custom! And when you sign up you get email, you can transfer your contacts and other email addresses (i.e. gmail, hotmail, etc..), it has a calendar, etc.... I am still playing with it and I am loving it...it is amazing and I hope that a few of yall try it and find out how much fun it is!

Have a great week everyone and KUTPs!!!!!

The OG goes to the MHMR dance and Halo learns some manners.....

Well, last night the first organic Gathering did a fun mission project of sorts.....we all (well, three couples and Lauren who was visiting and went with us!) went to a MHMR dance! Steve the tall guy on the left works at the MHMR center in Cinci...and he invited all of us to go to the dance! Needless to say we loved it all! OK so who is in this picture? From left to right: Steve and his wife Kim, Sylvia and her husband John, Lauren, and Tiffany my hottie wife!) want to see more? Ok.....

Here is me with one of my new friends....

Tiffany doing the Grandpa dance....

John and Sylvia dancing the YMCA song........ oh wait maybe that is Sylvia with one of her new friends...not sure...I just can't tell.....

Tiffany getting Jiggy with it with a new friend...oh and did I mention he loved to sing too?.....

and here he goes!.....

Here is Steve (which BTW was a celeb in this place!) dancing the YMCA song too.....I am telling you it was like walking into a dance hall with Will Smith or something...Steve was a true celeb!.....

And of course as the night went on...the Splenda filled punch got the best of us all and after a while we all just blended in with the crowd! It was a great time had by all and thanks to Steve and Kim for inviting us all for the tons of fun! We all went to Borders afterwards and played a little TX hold'em poker with Altoids for chips and it was a great night had by all!.....

This was a couple of days ago...but as you can see that Halo is starting to learn his table manners, heh heh...... If you have ever eaten in the Hollums house you know that Halo is a pest...but here when it was just Tiffany and me eating...he was actually very good....sad...but good, heh.....

did I mention sad? ahhhh Halo!!.....

and lastly for everyone's viewing pleasure...I wanted to show everyone this one o a kind Trinity pepper! check that out....I know I should have sold it on eBay...but oh well! heh.....

-----------------------

Well, for those of who who do not know Halo has been a very sick dog. He has weaken lungs and got some sever infection in them...the vet gave him antibiotics and another drug that is to help with his breathing...and then we found out that ever side effect of the breathing drug he was experiencing...so we had started giving him a much smaller dose of it and he seems to be doing 100 times better now! almost back to his normal self!

-----------------------

We also had for almost a week a new addition to our family (a dog that is of course) Her name is Pipy and she is still a puppy, and we really loved having her here...but we were trying to potty train her so we kept her in her kennel most of the time...and then the Dr. told us that she really should not be around Halo or she might get what Halo has...so we have asked her previous owner to keep her for the next two weeks to make sure Halo is feeling better and will not give her his sickness....Having her here reminded us how much we love Halo and how hard a new puppy really is...and so we are still praying about keeping her or not. She just deserves a lot of attention and care...and with another dog (especially a sick one), two time consuming jobs, and never getting any rest from a barking dog....it tends to help you remember the sacrifice that we go through to love animals, heh....Especially since Halo (in Vet bills alone) the past two weeks has cost us over $350! Dang that is a ton of money for us especially since we are trying to stick to our very small budget! Oh well, thanks for reading and putting up with me not being as consistent with the blog posts...I will try to be better! And if you have not already checked it out The Waters blog is updated every week around Monday or Tuesday..so you can always read about The Waters and send some prayer that way!

Thanks!

KUTPs...

and God bless ya!
